City Council

Bruce McIntosh - Councilman At-Large

Bruce McIntosh has been a resident of Princeton for the past 12 years.  He worked as an engineer for PHD Inc. for 39 year and continues to work for them part-time from his home office.   

Bruce has served on the Princeton Public Library Board of Trustees, the Patoka Township Trustee Advisory Board, the Gibson County Redevelopment Commission and the Princeton Board of Public Works.

Neil Moody - District 4

Neil Moody began his position on the council January 1, 2024.

Jan Ballard - District 1

This is Jan Ballard’s fourth consecutive term as District 1’s representative. His dedication to the city includes making improvements to the community and enticing industries and restaurants to call Princeton home.

Ballard has worked for the North Gibson School Corporation for 20 years as an Alternative Education Assignment Supervisor. He coaches the middle school boys’ basketball and track team.

Jim Maglis - District 3

Jim Maglis is the City Councilman for District 3. Maglis is married to his 6th grade sweetheart, Tracy (Fitch) Maglis. They have a 15 year old son named Gage. Maglis grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1990. After high school, he attended and received a Bachelor of Science in Science Teaching from Indiana State University. Maglis taught for 7 years at Kokomo High School in Kokomo, IN before coming back to Princeton Community High School in 2002. This is his 18th year teaching at PCHS where he teaches Environmental Science and Earth & Space Science. Maglis is also the sponsor for the Environmental and Adventure Clubs.

Maglis moved back to Princeton to give back to the community in which he grew up. 

“I ran for City Council to improve and help the quality of life for Princeton. I'm proud of where I come from.”

Dan Beard - District 2

Dan Beard represents City Council District 2.  He and his wife Pam live in the Baldwin Heights area.  Beard attended Vincennes University, Indiana State University and holds a degree in recreation and leisure services.  He previously served as Patoka Township Assessor, was on the Patoka Township Board and on the Gibson County Council.  Dan was also a past employee of the City of Princeton for 40+ years.
